Share your Expertise at Greenbuild 2010

USGBC is now accepting proposals for educational sessions for the 2010 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, Greenbuild International Forum, and Federal Summit. Download the Call for Proposals (PDF) which outlines proposal requirements and selection criteria then submit your session here.

The deadline to submit is 5:00pm PST, Friday, January 15, 2010.

USGBC is also accepting applications for qualified professionals to assist in reviewing session proposals. Our conference and events are known for their innovative, informative, and exciting programs, and peer reviewers are essential to its success. Download the Call for Reviewers (PDF) to learn more. Bioregional Partners and Regional Outreach The Chicago Host Committee will assist in developing appropriate bioregional partnerships, not to exceed a reasonable number to be decided by USGBC, that can assist USGBC in planning, promotion, and coordination of Greenbuild activities. USGBC will recognize these bioregional partner organizations on the Greenbuild website, in the conference program, and during the conference. USGBC will coordinate regional media relations efforts with the USGBC Chicago Chapter to ensure maximum exposure for Greenbuild and to support local efforts to promote USGBC and green building. USGBC will make senior staff and national volunteer leaders available to help bioregional partners promote Greenbuild and local USGBC activities. John Albrecht

Volunteer Staffing The Chicago Host Committee will recruit and coordinate volunteer staffing with regional universities, colleges, and other partners. Dan Bulley

Eco-Tours The Chicago Host Committee will research alternatives and assist in the organization of the green building tours at Greenbuild ‘10. USGBC shall be responsible for the final approval of all Chicago Host Committee arrangements for green building tours. All direct cost for on-site execution will be approved and covered by USGBC National (transportation, promotional booklet, and signage). Jason Franken

Off–Site Educational Sessions In order to expand Greenbuild’s educational offerings and to provide greater focus on Chicago’s local green building industry, Greenbuild will offer off-site educational sessions planned by the Chicago Host Committee. These sessions will allow Greenbuild attendees to visit and tour some of Chicago’s green buildings as part of their attendance at a locally-focused educational presentation. All direct cost for on-site execution will be approved and covered by USGBC National (transportation and signage).

Outdoor Experiences The Chicago Host Committe will be responsible for providing excellent outdoor experience programming for Greenbuild 2010 attendees that will showcase Chicago. Joseph Clair
Sponsorship Solicitation The Chicago Host Committee will provide assistance to USGBC for the identification and recruitment of sponsorships for the local conference events as designated by the Sponsorship Director. The Chicago Host Committee will forward any/all companies interested in overall sponsorship of the conference to the Sponsorship Director. The Chicago Host Committee and Chapter are not permitted to obtain any sponsorship revenue connected to the conference without the agreement of the Sponsorship Director. Said agreement will require a legal addendum to the current MOU. Any collection of restricted sponsorship revenue will result in financial penalty upon the USGBC fixed fee. All sponsorship agreements will be negotiated and finalized by USGBC. Gail Borthwick
