|Passive House 301: Case Studies|
USGBC-Illinois is partnering with Passive House for a three part Passive House series. Join us for the third and final session Passive House 301: Case Studies.
We’ll dive into lessons learned on local projects with a series of “PechaKucha” style presentations (think short, sweet, and to the point), with dialogue and discussion encouraged. This final session will lead up to the GreenBuilt Home Tour, July 23 & 24, 2016, where you will have the opportunity to experience Passive House projects firsthand. A must for architects, builders, CPHCs, raters, real estate professionals, and those looking to learn more about high-performance buildings in the Chicagoland region.

The William Eckhardt Research Center brings together the University of Chicago’s first molecular engineering program, and its Nobel Prize-winning physical sciences research groups into one space. The research facility features state-of-the-art laboratories, offices, conference rooms, and a 150-seat conference facility and café. Additionally, the center, which is seeking LEED Gold certification, was exceedingly complex, presenting its fair share of design opportunities and challenges.
