LEED Green Associate Study Sessions & Workshops

Virtual LEED Green Associate Study Series and Exam Review

The USGBC – Illinois Chapter's LEED Green Associate Study Series focuses on the key information necessary to pass the LEED Green Associate exam, including: the LEED implementation process, project site factors, water management, energy impacts, synergistic opportunities, stakeholder involvement in innovation, project surroundings, public outreach, test taking tips and strategies, and review practice exam questions and grading.

Green Associate Study Session & Exam Review

Time: 5:30 – 8:00 PM

Location: Virtual – From Your Computer (via Adobe Connect)

This study group will meet a total of 4 times over a 3 week period. Your one-time registration will provide entry to all four sessions.

GPRO: Green Professional Building Skills Training, is a series of courses and certificate exams that teach the people who build, renovate, and maintain buildings the principles of sustainability combined with trade-specific green construction knowledge. GPRO Certificate Holders are positioned to meet the expectations of owners and tenants who want healthier, environmentally sustainable, and energy-efficient homes and offices.

Course: GR5-300-270 (02/9/13), GR5-300-271 (2/16/13)- 4-hour course+exam

GPRO Fundamentals of Building Green – 4.0 GBCI CE Hours

Meets the Prerequisite for GR5-301-270 or GR5-301-271 Course Registration

This course teaches the basics of sustainability and the essential strategies and work practices that make buildings green. The program materials and exam cover the “green gap” between standard trade skills and the new awareness and skills required to successfully implement green building. A GPRO certificate presented after a passing exam score, demonstrates that an individual understands green building as it applies to his or her trade and enhances that person’s ability to compete for and participate in green jobs. (No exam should be taken by those registered for course GR5-301-270 or GR5-301-271.)

Course: GR5-301-270 (3/2/13) , GR5-301-271 (3/9/13) -(6-hour course+exam)

GPRO Construction Management – 6.0 GBCI CE Hours

Must Complete Prerequisite Courses GR5-300-270 or GR5-300-271 Prior to Taking One of These Courses

This course fills the “green gap” for individuals with construction experience. Following the course material will be an optional 50-question multiple-choice exam. A GPRO certificate presented after a passing exam score, demonstrates that an individual understands green building as it applies to his or her trade and enhances that person’s ability to compete for and participate in green jobs.
