2013-2015 Strategic Plan
The U.S. Green Building Council – Illinois Chapter (USGBC-Illinois) is Illinois’ nonprofit advocate for and resource on green buildings and sustainable communities. USGBC-Illinois’ members represent the broad spectrum of Illinois’ green building community, from real estate professionals, architects, engineers, designers and trade associations to contractors, product manufacturers, state and local government officials, homebuilders and homeowners. The U.S. Green Building Council – Illinois Chapter is the local affiliate of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a national nonprofit composed of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. The Illinois Chapter accomplishes its mission through education programs, events, research initiatives, advocacy campaigns, community involvement programs, collaborative programs, and other resources throughout its network branches in Illinois.
This plan is a living document and may be amended over the next three years as determined by the Board of Directors.
