USGBC-Illinois is the one-stop shop for green building education and earing GBCI CE’s and AIA CEU’s.  Our 10th year promises even more ways to participate in a wide array of green building-related educational offerings including:

- Greener by Design, Conference and Expo – USGBC-Illinois and CSI-Chicago are partnering on the first Greener by Design Conference and Expo to be held on Thursday, September 27 in Elk Grove Village at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters’ Training Center.  The day-long event will feature 4 tracks of sustainability focused education sessions that will provide over six hours of GBCI and AIA approved learning units, a full exhibit hall, continental breakfast and lunch, and an evening cocktail reception.   Exhibitor prospectuses and request for proposals for education sessions will be available on February 15, 2012.  Attendee registration will open mid-late second quarter, 2012.  Check the Greener by Design web site beginning February 15 for additional information.  www.greener-by-design.org.

- Spring and Fall GBCI/AIA Credential Maintenance Blitzes – Wondering how to make a dent in your GBCI/AIA credential hours?  USGBC-Illinois is here to help.  We will offer two, day-long sessions in April in November where participants can earn up to 7 hours of GBCI/AIA hours targeting all of the major CGBI reporting areas.  Dates for both sessions will be announced soon and RFP’s for presentations will launch later in February.  Check back soon or watch for an upcoming USGBC-Illinois Events Update for additional information.

- Branch Education Sessions –Each month USGBC-Illinois’ state-wide network of branches offer a variety of green building related education sessions.  These sessions are conducted by leaders from across Illinois’ green building community as well as selected national presenters.  These sessions are offered in variety of formats including webinars, live presentations and panel discussions, and in-person webinars.  Check out the 2012 Program Calendar for additional information.  To review topics of our 2012 course offerings or how the align with GBCI credential categories; check out our 2012 online Course Catalog which will be live soon.
